Financial Planner - Wealth Management Team
McLean Asset Management Corporation ("McLean") is seeking a Financial Planner to join our successful team of advisors based out of its Virginia headquarters. This role works closely with the Lead Advisor to deliver comprehensive financial plans to clients, while providing a positive client experience. This is a long-term position that is expected to leverage existing experience to grow into an advisory role over time.

Position Summary
This position works as an integral part of the wealth management team through overall client relationship management and execution of client planning needs.
The Financial Planner is responsible for:
- Developing and building relationships with new and existing clients
- Managing meetings with clients, and presenting comprehensive financial plans to meet the client’s needs
- Utilizing financial planning software to enter client data, identify solutions, and explore options to implement a financial plan
- Analyzing financial planning recommendations, and evaluating the impact of those recommendations throughout a client’s financial plan
- Preparing for meetings (scheduling as needed), documenting meeting notes and action items, updating the CRM (Salesforce), and tracking meeting follow-up task
This role also serves as a coordinator across various areas of the firm, connecting the centralized investment operations department, client service associates, and the planning team to serve clients.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of financial planning concepts and client service processes with a desire to earn the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation
- Industry-specific knowledge as it relates to client service and working with an account custodian such as Fidelity, and Schwab
- A technical mindset, focused on delivering flawless customized plans
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and ambition with an understanding of the limits of personal knowledge and when to ask for assistance
- Strong verbal, written, and inter-personal communication skills
- Self-starter with effective time management and attention to detail
- Quick to learn new software and processes
- Works well on a team and independently
